The Scope of Work
Assist the Mill Manager with the production and operation management of the workshop for excellent performance:
Under the premise of safety, coordinate resources and organize the workshop to complete the tasks assigned by the department with the main target of high quality, high efficiency, low cost, and humanity. While providing quality services and products for customers, train and recommend outstanding talents for the development of the company and departments. This is a 12 hour night shift position, running Thursday through Saturday, every other Wednesday.
Major responsibilities
Regulation implementation: responsible for the implementation of the company's and the department's rules, regulations, and procedures, and take the lead in learning and abiding by the policies and regulations. Timely implement risk prevention and control, including management system of the responsible region (all-level safety accountability, abnormality feedback, quality self-inspection and correction, asset management, etc.), performance management, and system of rewards and penalties, etc. Ensure the effective implementation and operation of various rules and regulations of the department.
Objective management: emphasize “safety first, quality first”, strengthen staff’s "objective management and self-control" awareness and ability, and lead the team to complete the production objectives of the company and departments in a high-quality and efficient manner. Timely and effectively analyze and improve the indicators of the workshop to ensure task effectiveness
Lean production: strengthen process control and promote PDCA closed-loop management. Act according to the production plan to reasonably coordinate and deploy various resources, arrange the production of orders, supervise production procedures, and ensure the production of orders so as to reduce cost and increase efficiency (deliver on time and reasonably control the cost to improve the profit of orders).
Fine and intelligent manufacturing: assist the mill manager to promote department innovation, cooperate with relevant departments to promote the development and application of new technologies and new products, and continuously promote the intelligence of the production line. Promote the skills training of employees to improve their operational skills, boost their spirit, and improve the productivity and core competitiveness of the mill.
Team and cultural construction: strengthen communication with all employees by actively carrying out various cultural construction activities, staff training, and forums, and take suggestions from all. Promote 6S management of the mill, comprehensively improve employee comprehensive quality and the soft power of the team. Strive to build a team of talents that is willing to learn, innovative, efficient, loyal, responsible, and honest.
Other tasks assigned by the company. Able to organize meetings and make reports on a regular basis.
KPI:
Safety: accident rate, 6S missing, mill abnormal events, asset accounting correctness
Quality: customer complaint, FPY, A product rate, system audit pass rate
Efficiency: order completion rate, process stability OEE
Low cost: cost and profit
Humanity: employee satisfaction, succession training
Innovation: rationalization suggestions, reform, and innovation
Other KCI: team building, system building, culture building, communication and coordination ability, etc
Qualifications
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in production, manufacturing operations, or a related environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, and PDCA methodology.

Proven experience coordinating production schedules, allocating resources, and managing performance metrics such as safety, quality, OEE, and cost control.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive process improvements and implement corrective actions.

Proficiency in using manufacturing software and systems (e.g., MES, ERP) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead team meetings, deliver reports, and train team members effectively.

Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, logistics, and HR teams.

Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Preferred:

Experience in intelligent manufacturing or digital production environments.

Familiarity with 6S, ISO, or other quality/safety systems.

Prior experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment.

Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus.
