Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Learning and Development Trainer to support the ongoing training needs of our production staff. This role will design, deliver, and evaluate training programs to ensure employees in manufacturing/production roles are skilled, compliant, and performing at their best. The ideal candidate will have experience in adult learning principles, production processes, safety standards, and hands-on training delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver training programs for production floor employees, including onboarding, upskilling, cross-training, and compliance/safety training.
- Facilitate classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job training (OJT) sessions tailored to production roles.
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) in collaboration with supervisors and managers to identify skills gaps and prioritize training initiatives.
- Maintain and update training materials, SOPs, job aids, and learning management system (LMS) content.
- Monitor and assess training effectiveness through assessments, observations, and feedback loops; continuously improve training content.
- Support the development of career pathways and internal certification programs for operators, technicians, and leads.
- Maintain training records and compliance documentation to meet internal standards and external regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO).
- Coach and mentor production employees, acting as a point of contact for skill development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Quality, EHS, Operations) to ensure training aligns with company goals and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of experience in a training role, preferably within a production/manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and facilitation techniques.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, safety practices, and quality systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Bilingual (e.g., English/Spanish) a plus, depending on workforce.
