Warehouse Supervisor
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient movement of materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and leading a team to support production demands. This role plays a critical part in optimizing warehouse efficiency, enforcing safety protocols, and fostering a high-performance culture in a fast-paced solar manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Leadership:
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse associates and shift leads.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure operational goals are met.
- Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management:
- Oversee receiving, storing, and distribution of raw materials and finished solar products.
- Ensure accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts and audits.
- Coordinate material flow between warehouse and production teams to support manufacturing schedules.
- Optimize warehouse layout, storage solutions, and material handling processes to improve efficiency.
Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training to prevent workplace hazards.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of solar components to prevent damage or loss.
Process Improvement & Reporting:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse productivity and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate documentation of shipments, inventory transactions, and operational metrics.
- Provide reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and process improvements to management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing or solar industry setting.
- 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse or logistics role.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems (WMS, ERP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
